Function 01: Automatically shifts the Headlight beam from high to low as and when it encounters the vehicle coming from opposite end. It restores the beam to high position after the two vehicles cross each other. (Functions as per standard SAE J 565, Titled: Semiautomatic headlamp switching devices). (Mandatory function as per Rule 106(c, d) of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989).

Function 02:Gives an indication WAIT to the following vehicle in case there is vehicle coming from opposite side also. It is to avoid accident during overtaking at night. (Mandatory function as per regulation 6 of Rules of the Road Regulations, 1989).
